Couvoir Pintabo: Passionate about Guinea Fowl
Since 2000, Couvoir Pintabo has been the sole federal hatchery in Canada specializing in guinea fowl production. We provide one-day-old keets to dedicated guinea fowl farmers across Canada and the northern United States.
Located in Saint-Germain-de-Grantham, near Drummondville, Quebec, our family-run business also specializes in raising guinea fowl for meat. A refined delicacy, the guinea fowl is sold whole, available fresh or frozen.
In total, two poultry houses—one exclusively dedicated to breeder guinea fowl and the second to raising guinea fowl for meat—and a hatchery are necessary for the smooth operation of activities. All our guinea fowl and all our keets are fed with vegetable-based feed.

Raised without Vaccines or Antibiotics
As a breeding method, artificial insemination is used because it allows for the production of keets year-round.
Guinea fowl eggs are placed in an incubator and hatch after 28 days. Over 100,000 keets are hatched annually in a certified hatchery under federal inspection.
When the keets are one day old, they are sent to the rearing farms.
